Omaha

Omaha beach was the hardest beach of the shores of France that we had to try and conquer. At least 7,000 ships came to shore with thousands of men aboard them. we lost more than half of our soldiers that day, plus a lot of equpiment and weapons. Commanders had to lead their troops forward or they would have been killed on the spot. A lot of soldiers drowned when they jumped in the water because of how heavy their equipment was. It was a tragic day in history.
